Derek Anderson says this is the pit of hell…

The Cleveland Browns released Derek Anderson after they traded with the Seahawks to get Seneca Wallace.  I think there’s two interesting points of view here that need further investigation.

1.  Derek Anderson’s assertion that the fans in Cleveland are evil

and

2.  The need for the Browns to trade for Seneca Wallace.

Derek Anderson said:

“The fans are ruthless and don’t deserve a winner.  I will never forget getting cheered when I was injured (in 2008, a sprained medial collateral ligament).  I know at times I wasn’t great. I hope and pray I’m playing when my team comes to town and (we) roll them.”

Can we say, “Dang!”?  I think Derek’s a little pissed.  I don’t know if it’s the 50-something year drought without a title or what, but he’s probably right.  The best part is that he was to whoop them real bad the next time he rolls through there—that’s some hatred right there.

Then there’s the acquisition of Seneca Wallace.  He’s going to come in and wait for Brady Quinn to start sucking and then what are they going to do?  Play him over Quinn?  That would a COLOSSAL admission that they were wrong to draft him to begin with–because they felt bad for him.

Also, Seattle unloading Seneca tells me that they are serious about Tim Tebow.  This also means they may be willing to overpay.  That’s be for everybody.

The Browns ended up in the middle of a serious NFL firestorm and they don’t even know it yet.
